Description du service
Take a stroll along Ogden's Historic 25th Street and discover the history of "Junction City". This 2-hour walking tour takes you from Union Station to Washington Boulevard. Along the way, you'll learn about Ogden's notorious past and vibrant present, and you'll uncover the hidden gems and fascinating stories that made Ogden. The tour starts at Union Station (free parking available). Then it's on to Historic 25th Street. Buildings along this street hide tales of saloons, speakeasies, and rumored tunnels beneath the sidewalks. Step into the story of Belle London, one of Ogden's madams whose “London Ice Cream Parlor” masked one of the city's most infamous brothels. Walk through Electric Alley, where the “cribs” once stood, and imagine life in the city’s red-light district. From there we'll stroll to the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Ogden’s oldest church still in continuous operation. We'll continue towards Washington Boulevard and the Municipal Building and gardens where the tour will end.
